Theme: "Joy" (Romans 15:13)
Sometimes, it can be difficult for us to find our joy and hope in The God Of The Bible... In Romans 15:13, Paul prays that The God Of The Bible may be the source of joy and peace for all believers in Christ Jesus. It is our prayer that this retreat would be used by God to assure you of your salvation and strengthen your faith in God, who is our greatest hope and source of all joy.

When: Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30
  • Check-in 3:30pm-4:30pm on June 28. Check-in for the youth will be at Weaver Chapel

  • Check-out is on June 30 at 6:30pm.

Where: Youth will stay at the "Adventure Camp" part of Shocco Springs. All youth will be rooming in cabins (with bunk beds) with other students and counselors.

Departure from ATL: Buses depart from ACCCN (5055 E Morton Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022) on June 28. Check-in at ACCCN is at 1:00pm. Buses return to ACCCN on June 30 around 10:00pm.

What: Come and join brothers and sisters in Christ for an incredible time of encountering the Lord, fellowship, prayer, intimacy and growth! In addition, the retreat features a variety of fun activities such as organized sports and games.

  • Closed-Toed Shoes 
  • Sandals for showers 
  • Swimsuit (boys-no speedos / girls- must wear a one piece or dark shirt over top)
  • Beach Towel 
  • Clothing for 3 days

  • Video games
  • Tobacco or any device with Nicotine*
  • Alcohol
  • Drugs*
  • Weapons*
  • Fireworks*
If possession of the above items is discovered, parents will be notified. The items will be confiscated until the conclusion of the retreat.
* Possession of above items may result in expulsion from the camp. Registration fee will not be refund

John Thompson

​John grew up in Powder Springs, GA and before entering vocational ministry spent nearly 12 years in the U.S. Army.  John is a combat-wounded veteran and Purple Heart recipient whose service took him all over the U.S., as well the Middle East and South Korea. Before answering a call to plant a multi-ethnic church in Atlanta, John served as a College and Student Pastor, and Adjunct Professor at Belhaven University.  John is married to Abi, and together they have 3 children, Emma, Grace, and Micah.

In this workshop, we will discuss a host of great reasons for obeying God. Reasons help. The more buttons and levers we have at our disposal, the better. We will also briefly consider where the power to obey ultimately comes from.
How To Grow Spiritually in College

​We are told how many youth "lose" their faith in college. This workshop is designed to equip you with what tools you need to thrive spiritually throughout your college years .



Christ Centered Relationships 

How can we turn our friendships and romantic interests into relationships that honor God and not lesser things. What if God calls you to a life or period of singleness? This workshop will show you how to keep Christ at the center no matter what is happening in your life. ​
